Case Manager
Hi! My name is Brandee Hamby. I am blessed to be a Case Manager with Bright Start. I am from a small town in Lexington County (Batesburg…Go Panthers!!!!). In 2001, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the most amazing university in the state, the University of South Carolina (Forever to Thee…and go Gamecocks). Since then, my professional journey in the field of education has consisted of teaching Fourth grade, First grade, and Kindergarten. I have also been an Assistant Teacher in a Montessori program. After leaving the public school system, I was blessed with the opportunity to teach at a school for children with disabilities and special needs, as well as at-risk children. This is where I not only fell in love with this amazing community of learners but also became inspired by them and made the decision to devote my career to their service! I went on to become a Lead Teacher for a Head Start program in Georgia and served as the Curriculum Director for two Georgia counties. I’ve made my way back home to the great state of South Carolina and I am super excited to partner with families in Oconee County as a Case Manager.
