Early Interventionist - Anderson Office
I grew up in a little town called, Barnwell, SC, not far from the University of South Carolina Aiken, where I graduated in 2014 with a BA in Human Services, Sociology. I loved my major because it taught me so much about people and being a support to them wherever they are at in life. After college, I worked as a paraprofessional in special education for five years, where I gained so much knowledge and experience. One of the most important passions of my life has been to serve and support the community with special needs and their families. That started when my sister was born with Downs Syndrome in 2000. Growing up with her was one of the best things that has happened to me and is a huge reason behind my heart for these friends. When my sister went to her therapists, I was always sitting right beside her, soaking in every bit of her lessons so I could apply them with her at home. Getting to watch her grow and be part of that was my joy and my mission. Now, I find myself as an Early Interventionist with Bright Start 19 years later, and that joy and mission continues to be my heart for all families and children. I can’t wait to have the honor to work alongside you and to be a believer in your kiddos!
