Early Interventionist - Midlands Office

I pursued my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Northern Arizona University. Since I graduated, I started work with the geriatric population in an adult daycare. I had the opportunity to work with individuals experiencing dementia and Alzheimer’s as well as stroke survivors and adults with special needs. I quickly realized that attention, love, nurturing and patience were essential in working with the elderly, much like working with children. For the last 10 years I worked at Child and Family Resources in Tucson, AZ for a program called Healthy Families. I began my career there as a home visitor. I provided evidence based curriculum to support parents with child development, parenting skills, safety, health, nutrition etc. I absolutely loved the work and being able to assist families in their natural environment. I truly appreciate being able to offer tools and support to the parents but know at the end of the day they are the real experts when working with their child. In addition to my professional experience, I have 3 beautiful little girls. Hayden 9, Addi 6 and Maci 1.
