Early Interventionist - Midlands Office
Hi, my name is Jasmine Brown and I am from a small town known as Hemingway, SC. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. As a child I remember always wanting to babysit, volunteering to read to my mom’s class, and pretending to be a teacher. During my Junior year at Columbia College as a Child Life Major, I got the opportunity to work with a hospitalized child that made an incredible impact on my life and my outlook on working with children and families. The fact that I made a difference in her life from one visit, exemplified the importance of providing nurture, learning, patience, and compassion for children and families. From there, I received confirmation that working with children and families was my gift. I decided to further my education and obtained a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and within that time I also worked with children and families on Fort Jackson. I had been in the classroom setting for about 5 years and overtime I watched many Early Interventionists come in and out of the classrooms. I saw the impact that they have on children and families and immediately fell in love with their work. I am very excited to now be a part of Bright Start’s team as an Early interventionist to make that difference in the lives of many families!
