Early Interventionist - Midlands Office
I graduated from The College of Saint Rose in Albany NY in 2004. I had intended to become an elementary school teacher, but by the end of my college days, I realized that I wanted to work with younger children. I accepted a job at a local child care center as the Lead Teacher in the one year old classroom. Upon moving to Columbia in 2006, I worked at a child care center with infants and children ranging in age from six weeks to five years old. During these years as a child care teacher, I experienced the joys for working with children of varying abilities. Several children in my care received early intervention services. This allowed me to learn about the role of the Early Interventionist. When I spotted an AD that Bright Start was seeking a new EI, I eagerly applied for the position. When the position was offered to me, I readily accept. I have been with Bright Start since 2009. I love working with the parents and children each day. I am inspired by the strength and dedication of the parents that I work alongside. I am thankful that they allow me to join them on their journeys and support them in helping their children reach their goals.
