Supervisor - Rock Hill Office
Every job I have ever had has centered on children. From babysitting as a young teenager, working in the church nursery, teaching swim lessons at the YMCA, to providing ABA therapy for children with Autism - I have always enjoyed working with young children. When I began at USC Upstate, I decided to enter college with an undecided major. I knew I loved being around children, but I wanted to see what else was out there. After a few months into my freshman year, something was missing, and it was in that moment in which I realized that education was indeed the place for me. I knew I did not want to be a traditional classroom teacher; I wanted to do something different, but what? After graduating from USC, I worked as an early childhood educator at a children’s museum for about a year where I planned weekly activities, summer camps and mommies' mornings out for our little visitors. I then went on to teach three year old preschool at a child development center. I watched as early interventionist came into the center to work with a few of the children. In watching them work, I knew that was the perfect job for me. It was October 2012 when I began with Bright Start. As an early interventionist, I am privileged to work with wonderful families every day and surround myself with a staff who shares the same love that I have for the profession.
