Early Interventionist - Midlands Office
My passion for kids came at a pretty early age. As the oldest of four kids, I had a lot of experience with kids and babysitting and loved every minute of it. I began helping with the kids ministry at my church in middle school and later became a sunday school teacher for kids with special needs. Little did I know that was just the beginning. I attended the University of South Carolina where I majored in Experimental Psychology with a minor in Counseling. At the time I intended to become a school counselor. My senior year of undergrad I began working for an ABA company and loved working with those kids. My plan for pursuing school counseling then changed and I decided to stay in the field of ABA and continue to grow in my knowledge of Autism and special needs as a whole. I continued providing ABA services with that company for almost 4 years. While I loved working with those kids and their families, I wanted to learn more about other special needs and disabilities and become more involved with the families of these children as well. I saw how important Early Intervention was for these kids because of my ABA experience and wanted to be a part of it. That being said I am so excited to be a part of the Bright Start family and can’t wait to continue to learn more about the families I serve in this area.
