Early Interventionist - Charleston Office
I grew up in Ithaca New York and developed a love for working with children with special needs at an early age. I attended Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts where I majored in Human Services with concentrations in Family and Child Studies and Deaf Studies and a minor in Sociology. During my time in Boston I worked as a daycare teacher, for the Boston Ballet community outreach program, and volunteered at an elementary school for children on the autism spectrum. After graduating from college I decided I was ready to move to warmer weather which lead me to Charleston. Before joining the Bright Start team in 2016 I worked for the Disabilities Board of Charleston County as a Case Manager (6 years) and Early Interventionist (7 years). I have lived in Charleston for the last 13 years with my husband Brian. In my spare time I love to travel, read, spend time around the water, and explore the many restaurants in the Charleston area.
