Early Interventionist - Upstate Office
I graduated from Furman University in May 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Throughout college I spent a lot of time working with children. I nannied throughout the school year and during summer vacations. During my senior year of college I began looking for internships, I knew working with children was a passion of mine and wanted to find an internship that I could do just that, while allowing me to expand my knowledge on different family dynamics. I was introduced to ABA from a mentor, I quickly fell in love with the children and families I served as an ABA therapist. Working with children who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder was an amazing and incredible experience. My ABA career started as a line therapist while I was completing my senior year of college. After graduating and receiving my degree from Furman University I moved on to become a lead ABA therapist. Working with children and their families in their homes was so rewarding. I thoroughly enjoyed working in the child’s natural environment, while teaching crucial developmental skills in a hands-on approach. Not only with the child but their family members as well. I wanted to continue to serve children and their families in their natural environments and Bright Start was the perfect place for me. They say, “find a job you love and you will never work a day in your life” and I believe I have done just that. I look forward to continuing my career with Bright Start as an Early Interventionist.
