Bright Start, a private provider of services for children and adults who have disabilities and special needs, is seeking a qualified Service Coordinator. Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and at least one year of experience in case management working in the field of disabilities. Applicant must be highly efficient and organized, have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently. Some travel may be required.

Winston’s Wish is hosting its annual Sprummer event on May 5th from 7pm-11pm on top of the Carolina Walk Condominiums (across from Williams-Brice Football Stadium) in Columbia, South Carolina!

This event will benefit children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families in South Carolina. Proceeds will go to support this non-profit foundation’s initiatives, including raising awareness of ASD in the community.

The Play Groop will be presenting Music IV at City of Hope Worship Center in West Columbia on April 28th at 6:00 pm. Many of the cast members in this dinner theater event have Autism and have overcome difficulties. This event will change your view of Autism forever! Please join Bright Start for our first Monthly Playgroup in Columbia – a Stroller Strides Workout!

Stroller Strides is a great way to get in shape, meet other moms, and have fun with your baby all at the same time. The classes are designed for all fitness levels and are taught by certified instructors (who are also moms). Classes consist of a total body workout combining power walking with toning exercises that incorporate the stroller. Children ages 6 weeks and up are welcome!
